Brimpsfield & Birdlip WI October Newsletter

Birdlip and Brimpsfield WI

On 20th November we are holding our WI Annual General Meeting. 7.00 for 7.15pm at Brimpsfield Village Hall.

A trip on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) is highly recommended by the members who went last month. A bustling train transported them from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway Station through spectacular scenery, stopping at stations from a past era. A short bus ride (or an energetic walk) from the station enabled members to explore the village of Broadway before returning on the train which is run by enthusiastic and helpful volunteers. A great day out.

Members of the Cinema group continued their visits to the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. Unfortunately, the weather adversely affected the activities of the walking group with only a few able to make the rearranged walk across Edge common and along the escarpment with views overlooking the Severn Vale.

We welcome visitors (£3.00) and our secretary Denise is happy to answer any questions phone 01453 766222.

Next meeting Wednesday 20th November 7.15pm. AGM at Brimpsfield Village Hall. GL4 8LD.
